Pierre die Chachay is on the Advisory Board as “Business Advisor” (Honorary). Pierre is a French national with more than twenty years of experience in Marketing, Communications and Business development on four continents, with exposure to a wide range of industries including government, IT, media, healthcare, aviation, education, logistics and sustainable development. Pierre headed the marketing and communications for the Sustainable Energy and Environment Division (SEED) at TECOM Investments and positioned Energy & Environment Park (ENPARK) to become the premier Free Zone destination in the Region for Cleantech companies.
Ahmed Ali Lootah is the Strategy Advisor (Honorary) on the Advisory Board of ‘Energy and Environmental Efficiency Advisory FZ LLC’. He brings to the team a strong understanding of the energy and environment sectors in the UAE and the wider region. Ahmed is a senior project manager for energy and environmental policy development at the Prime Minister’s Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. Prior to that Ahmed worked closely with international energy and environmental companies to help grow the industry locally under TECOM Group. In his assignments at TECOM Group, Ahmed was responsible for developing strategies for the Energy and Environment Park, Enpark. Ahmed’s role at Enpark in conjunction with that at the Sustainable Energy and Environment Division (SEED), created an ideal Cleantech business eco-system within the TECOM Group. Ahmed contributes to the Advisory Board with his strong knowledge of the energy and environmental industries in the UAE, having worked from both policy and business perspectives. He has also served on committees and advisory boards in this field such as the Solar Pioneers Award under the Middle East Solar Industry Association and the Emirates Energy Award.
Welcomes B Surendar as the Industry Knowledge Advisor (Honorary) on the Advisory Board of ‘Energy and Environmental Efficiency Advisory FZ LLC’. Surendar is the Editorial Director & Associate Publisher of CPI Industry. He fulfills the role of Editor of Climate Control Middle East magazine, which focuses on the HVACR industry from socio- economic development and sustainable development perspectives, amongst others. In the course of his editing work, he looks at such issues as indoor environmental quality (IEQ), energy efficiency, energy security, food security and food safety. Surendar has a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Madras, in India; a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Madras and a master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas, in the United States. He is a twice-recipient of the Reader’s Digest Fellowship in the United States and a twice-recipient of the Pan-Arab Media Quality Award in the UAE for excellence in journalism.
